Whit Week Holiday Club

Stratford-upon-Avon • Wednesday 27th May

Tomorrow is looking like a beautiful day outdoors — mild sunshine, light cloud cover and a gentle breeze, perfect for a full day of exploring, cooking and playing together in the woods. The ground is dry, the air is warm, and we’ll have plenty of shade under the trees, so children can settle into the rhythm of the day comfortably.

As always, our session will be child‑led, with time to climb, create, imagine, build dens, use tools safely, and follow whatever sparks curiosity.

Shared Lunch: Jamie’s Ultimate BBQ Inspired

This week we’re cooking two recipes from the latest episode of Jamie’s Ultimate BBQ, and the children will be involved in every step — chopping, mixing, tasting, and cooking over the fire.

On the menu:

  • Spiced Vegetable Paneer A colourful mix of gently spiced veg and soft paneer cooked over the fire — mild, fragrant and perfect for little adventurers.

  • Feta & Watermelon Salad A refreshing, juicy side that the children love preparing (and snacking on while they work).

  • Veggie Mezze Selection A spread of fresh, child‑friendly bits and bobs for dipping, scooping and sharing.

  • Homemade Flatbreads Mixed, kneaded and cooked by the children themselves over the fire — always a highlight.

We’ll eat together as a group, taking time to slow down, chat, and enjoy the food we’ve made with our own hands.

End‑of‑Day Ritual

As always, we’ll finish gathered around the fire with freshly popped popcorn, a gentle moment to bring everyone back together before heading home.
