Our holiday club offers child‑led, nature‑based play in the woods. Children explore, create, build, cook over the fire, and enjoy the freedom of being outdoors in all seasons. Every day is different, and children are encouraged to follow their own interests.

Each day follows a gentle rhythm. You start by preparing and cooking a simple vegetarian lunch together. Then you explore the woodland, build dens, make seasonal crafts, use tools with supervision, and follow your child’s interests. You finish round the fire with warm popcorn and a chat about the day.

Please dress your child for the weather and for getting muddy. Waterproofs, warm layers, sturdy boots or wellies, and sun protection in summer are all recommended. We spend the whole day outdoors, so comfort is important.

Yes, you do. We run in most weather, including rain and cold, because outdoor play is part of the experience. We adapt activities to suit the conditions and we have sheltered areas on site. We only cancel if the weather is unsafe, such as during storms or high winds. If that happens, we’ll contact you quickly and offer a refund or transfer.

We cook a simple vegetarian lunch together each day. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs when booking. Children should bring a filled water bottle and any extra snacks they may need. Children can also help themselves to refreshments and fresh fruit all through the day.

We welcome all children and will make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. Please share any medical, behavioural, or additional needs during booking so we can plan appropriate support. If the woodland environment may not be safe or suitable, we’ll discuss this with you sensitively.

All sessions are led by a trained Forest School practitioner with enhanced DBS checks, outdoor first aid, safeguarding training, and extensive experience working with children in nature‑based settings.Additional staff may not hold the same Forest School qualifications, but they do have proven experience working with primary‑aged children, typically in school environments, and are fully briefed in our safety procedures and session expectations.

1:6. We keep our groups small to ensure safety and high‑quality support. Ratios vary slightly by activity, but we always meet or exceed recommended Forest School guidelines of 1:8.

A filled water bottle, any medication they need (such as inhalers or EpiPens), extra snacks if desired, and a spare set of clothes in a labelled bag. Please leave toys and electronics at home.

Drop off and collection happen at the main school gates but full details are included in your booking confirmation email. Please arrive on time for both drop‑off and pick‑up. If you’re delayed, just let us know.

If you need to cancel, please check our refund policy on the website. In short, cancellations made 7 or more days before the session are fully refundable. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. If we have to cancel because of weather or staff illness, you’ll be offered a refund or a transfer.

We do take photos for our website and social media though we will only use images of your child if you have given consent during booking. You can change your consent at any time.
